We’re delighted to welcome Thomas Turner, PhD to 2 Bridge as a Consultant – Translational Science.

Thomas Turner is a scientist with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in the development of immunomodulatory therapeutics aimed at resolving chronic inflammation, limiting fibrosis, and promoting tissue regeneration. His doctoral research provided a comprehensive understanding of immunology, fibrosis, and tissue regeneration.

Following this, he advanced to a role as an Immunology Scientist at Galapagos, where he focused on novel therapeutic target discovery and validation for autoimmune diseases. He successfully integrated in-house clinical data, scientific literature, and strategic analysis to build a pipeline of innovative therapeutic targets and led their preclinical experimental validation. These experiences have equipped him with a deep understanding of the technical, strategic, and business dimensions of translational science, enabling him to bridge the gap between research and clinical application.

At 2 Bridge, Thomas will support the strategic and translational development of healthcare innovations from early research through to clinical application. Leveraging a strong foundation in translational biology and therapeutic target discovery and development, he helps bridge the gap between scientific discovery and real-world impact. His work centers on delivering tailored scientific support, ranging from identifying unmet medical needs to advancing early clinical development, to help clients accelerate the journey of transformative treatments to patients.
